Azarga, Azopt, Brinzolamide, Simbrinza (brinzolamide) is a small molecule pharmaceutical. Brinzolamide was first approved as Azopt on 1998-04-01. It is used to treat open-angle glaucoma in the USA. It has been approved in Europe to treat ocular hypertension and open-angle glaucoma. The pharmaceutical is active against carbonic anhydrase 7. In addition, it is known to target carbonic anhydrase 12, carbonic anhydrase 14, and carbonic anhydrase 1.
